Amazing vibes
by beatnikcrab on 8/15/24The Van Buren - PhoenixNeat light show. Easily the best crowd energy of any concert I've been to. It was such a mixed crowd, but everyone was so hype, and it was so wholesome

STRFKR on Tour
STRFKR has always been a constantly evolving entity, growing over the years from rambunctious beginnings into the manicured electro-pop perfection they exhibited on their last studio album, 2016's pristine Being No One, Going Nowhere. New single "Never The Same" is a sharp left turn from anything the band has explored before, hitting hard with a minimal arrangement of acoustic guitars, stripped down drums and Josh Hodges' familiar weightless vocals all bathed in lo-fi production. The song is warm and direct, with twisting melodies and a straightforward delivery that highlights how vulnerable the band's lyrics can be. This kind of careful, hushed energy is new territory for STRFKR, and it's a risky move for a band loved for their exclamatory synth pop. Going out on this ledge results in one of the band's most immediate and rewarding songs, one that's strange and beautiful but as intense as a secret being whispered in your ear.

The experience kept my attention and so many favorites across multiple albums were played. It was awesome to see the beautiful soul that conjured up the nostalgic, dancy, and spacey fun project of STRFKR. Sending so much love, thanks for coming to the hottest place on the planet <3
Fan of Holy Wave, don't know about STRFCKR. Holy Wave was good but thr gorgeous harmonies, and psychedelia, was replaced by a generic "Indie"sound. It was still good, and had some very good parts, but the uniqueness of Holy Wave was largely absent. Holy Wave, leave the "Indie"sound alone and stay true to what's on your records; the harmonies and the spiciness. The harmonies were good enough for the Beatles, Beach Boys & CSN. The psychedelia & spaciness was good enough for Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, King Crimson, and more. That's your sound. Leave the generic Indies alone.
Fantastic show! Josh and team put on a fabulous show and played lots of our favorites, and we have A LOT!
Such a great show!!! Awesome band and the venue was perfect!
Idk if it was an off night or what but I heard so many missed notes/mistakes it was hard to listen to. Their music is incredibly simple and repetitive, it's not like it takes a technical wizard to execute. But visuals were on point and I enjoyed the dancers' a lot, if it wasn't for those two aspects I would have left after a few songs.
One of my favorite bands for over ten years and it makes me happy they visit often. I recommend 100%
great show. can’t lie holy wave kinda mogged on the other two, incredible drummer
One of the best concerts ive ever been to, very enjoyable and danced a lot!
This show definitely goes in my top concerts of all time, close to taking the place of Young the Giant! The show started with confetti, what an entrance. It didn’t stop there though! It went off a good 4-6 more times. Almost excessively, but it was fun to watch the crowd play with the confetti in the pit. The band sounded great, only a little goof when the wrong backing track seemed to play at the opening. They kept the energy up the whole show. The real treat though, was the dancers on stage. They came out accompanying the band with gold capes, then changed to astronauts. I found it hilarious when one of them came out in a pink wig and some getup for Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second. It was epic when one of them crowd surfed! Seriously, it was the coolest show I’ve ever been to.
