NILE IN CONCERT:
When it comes to technicality and brutality, few bands hold a candle to death metal legends Nile. Combining a passion for Ancient Egyptian culture with serious technical chops, the band's creative, history-infused approach to the genre is truly one-of-a-kind. On tour in 2013, Nile treated fans to razor-sharp renditions of tracks like "Supreme Humanism of Megalomania" and "Enduring the Eternal Molestation of Flame,"? setting big expectations for their 2014 shows.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in South Carolina in 1993, Nile had already built a substantial regional following by the time their 1998 debut full-length Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka introduced them to national audiences.? After relatively moderate success in the early '00s, the band really hit their stride with the 2007 release of Ithyphallic, cracking the Billboard 200 and landing a coveted spot on the Ozzfest Tour. In 2012, Nile released their seventh album At the Gate of Sethu to a No. 2 spot on Billboard's Top Heatseakers chart, marking their highest position to date and setting the stage for a 2014 headlining tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Nile... blew my mind. They sound just as good live as they do on disc, which I find to be very rare. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend going to see them."
"This was by far the sickest, most brutal, and most enjoyable concert I have ever attended, by any band! I would HIGHLY recommend this event, and any other Nile concert, to any fan of death metal."
"Unbelievable show! If you are looking for brutality and technicality rolled into one package, Nile never fails to deliver."
Wasn’t overly impressed with the first two bands. Nile was amazing!
Just wow. Best live performance i had ever seen in a nice little club as well. Amazing mosh. These guys annihilate...
I thought they put on a great performance wish they would’ve played longer. Wish they would’ve had better opening acts but I’m pretty sure I need to hear more from these opening bands to judge.
excellent, excellent,,,these guys are brutal live, they sound great, overall great band. I've seen them before, they always deliver.
Nile was incredible!! The sound at the House of Blues sounded perfect and there was plenty of room to get on the floor or stand to the side. We got our drinks with no wait from the bar and Nile's merchant lady was quick and effiecient. She was very Friendly and not rude which was refreshing. I'm so glad I saw them play live they were super cool to the crowd even when someone got onstage, lol! I went after work and it was a great evening! Glad I stepped out and had some fun and now memories of a show I can't ever forget! \m/
Killer!!! Great sound, great band...excellent music...cant wait to see them again...all my expectations were met...over all excellent!!
Here are some mindblowing shows I have witnessed in the last few years: ACDC, Metallica, Roger Waters The Wall, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus/cattle Decapitation/Cerebral Bore, Gojira/Devin Townsend, and Nile. Of all of those, Nile had the best sound and tied Dying Fetus and Gojira in tightness of the performence. In short, they were amazing. They played two hours, and I loved every second of it. Even the songs I wasn't familiar with sounded amazing. Five stars. Incredible show.
If u enjoy Nile then you will most definitely enjoy their concert. Awesome!!!!!
Nile at Blondies blew my mind. They sound just as good live as they do on disc, which I find to be very rare. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend going to see them.
This was by far the sickest, most brutal, and most enjoyable concert I have ever attended, by any band! Each band gave it their all, and I even became a fan of a new band (Keep of Kalessin). Nile, in particular, played with every last strand of their metal souls, and put on a truly unforgettable show. I would HIGHLY recommend this event, and any other Nile concert, to any fan of death metal.
