The lead up acts were awesome it was dope seeing Peso Peso But Maxo He went all out he even played Roaches
It was a great experience. Wish I knew a little more about the opening acts and wish there were more drink options but overall I enjoyed the show, Maxo def killed it. Looking forward to checking out more of his shows.
Love Maxo but I was disappointed by the show. He clearly doesn't have the energy that he has in the studio. He raps over his own lyrics so you are often hearing both the recording and himself...except when he taking a break and you are only hearing the recording (about a 1/4 to 1/3 of the time). His duet with his brother, which was seemingly not recorded (so he could not rap over his own recording), was the only real highlight.
Clear sound, engaging with audience. Opening were good also.
The event was well organized. The staff were nice and well informed. They provided mask. The performance was incredible, the energy of the crowd made it more fun. Maxo is a great performer. Showed up on time and greeted fans after the show no charge. Dope!
The venue was perfect for this event. Maxo had great energy and interacted with the crowd. I just think the crowd should have been bigger. It’s probably the pandemic that’s scaring people away but he did a great job keeping the energy up and not slacking off just cause the crowd was smaller than usual. He came and delivered the performance we paid to see.
VERY INTIMATE & VERY FREE NO ANNOYIN SECURITY GUARDS OR FANSZ!
Have only ever been to metal and rock concerts before this. Got to see maxo kream in Houston at the house of blues. Venue was small, probably 3000ish sq ft, give or take. Lots of people were there and lots of young kids which threw me through a loop. These kids getting turnt up to maxo was pretty awesome. Have one gripe about the venue and three gripes about maxo. The venue bass need to be turned down by the sound engineer. The Amps were clicking because the settings were turned up too high. Otherwise, it was a quality place. My 3 gripes about maxo is 1: the beats. He had a DJ up there but the dude just played the album track. It wasn't even an instrumental version but the actual song from the album. The mics seemed kinda low quality. Maxo had to scream in the mic to be heard while the music was playing. 2: maxos preshow was tooooooooo long. We got there at 6, doors opened at 7, the first opener came out at 8. Maxo didn't come out til 1030. I get the fact youre presenting your boys and trying to get them some fame and I respect that but I didn't go there to see them. The DJ Mr Rodgers just played like a half hour of songs I can here on the radio. The whole time they were trying to hype the crowd up for maxo and it kept dragging on n on. 3: maxos performance. I heard you read this, but you need to work on your breathing. You don't need to be the hype man bouncing around all over. You brought that whole crew with you, let them bounce around and get the crowd worked up. Focus on delivering the lyrics. Maxo was winded after a few songs from yelling and jumping around and even slower songs like roaches he had to stop mis rhyme to catch his breath. But I love maxo kream and loved every minute of it. That crowd was wild, I'm still sore 4 days later.
Very good venue, virtually anywhere inside of the venue offered a good seat and close up view of the stage and security was on top of things but not to overwhelming with instructions. CONSERT WAS ABSOLUTELY LIT!!! Had a great time!
