Jacksonville Jaguars Team History
The Jacksonville Jaguars joined the NFL in 1993 along with the Carolina Panthers, bringing the NFL’s total franchise number to 30. In their inaugural season in 1995, the Jaguars became the first expansion team in NFL history to record a .500-or-better division record in its first season. Since their inaugural season, the Jaguars have won two division championships and have made eight playoff appearances.

Since their inaugural season in 1995, the Jacksonville Jaguars have played their home games at EverBank Stadium in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, along the St. Johns River. The 67,814-capacity stadium opened in 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, then underwent numerous renovations and name changes (to Alltel Stadium in 1997, EverBank Field in 2010, TIAA Bank Field in 2018, and EverBank Stadium in September 2023).

Our team may have tried to lose it all in the last few minutes, but they pulled out a win making it worth the expensive tickets. The Jags could do better in the food department as most were lacking in quality/taste, but that was not the reason we were there so it wasn't a big deal. The bag policy is a bit insane if you have to carry medications, cards, car keys, etc. though. We walked a mile to the gate (with a bag that met the dimensions on the website) only to have to turn around and take it back to the car. Then I had to try and find a place to hold my ID, credit cards, bank card, and car keys on my person. This caused us to miss part of the first quarter, but we did not let it get us down.

Absolutely aweful. My husband had to go and find somewhere to sit away from people. If you say no smoking then no smoking.

by Dan on 9/20/23EverBank Stadium - JacksonvilleWe did enjoy the game; well, at least through the first half. We had to get out of the heat and sun since it was about 90 degrees with 80% humidity. Lots of fans left their seats and were in the shade as well. We actually just left the game and went back to our hotel to cool down. Hopefully the "dome"plan gets approved. Games in August and September in that stadium are pretty hot.

by Mike on 8/29/23Thought it was expensive especially being a pre season game. Parking was tough too. Food pricing is terrible. To bring my family and buy tickets, parking and food was over $500. Not a good value. Will stay home next time and enjoy the festivities.
