My husband and I enjoy attending the shows in Las Vegas. We really enjoy the Cirque de Soleil shows. We decided to see this because it looked good in the advertisements. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it for anyone.
I'm not sure where to start. I left asking myself what kind of show did I just watch? The only answer I came up with was it was more of a play. If you were one of the lucky ones to see the previous show that once occupied this theater called La Reve then you were treated to something really special. I saw that four times and would have seen it four more times. Awakening is nowhere near the level of that by any measure. Mediocre story, mediocre choreography, with a couple of good circus acts weaved in that really did not tie in with the storyline at all. It felt like more of an afterthought. If you want to watch people run around the stage at full speed and then stop, this is the show for you. By the way I do not take away from any of the performers. They're all professional and gave it 100%. The show is just not to the level you would expect for the ticket price and the location.
As someone who has seen all the Vegas cirque shows, I was interested to see how Awakening would differ. I left satisfied, as the show itself was quite good. The story is cliche, yes, however it's easy to follow and makes sense. The costume designs are phenomenal, and the acts are quite interesting. It's no circus, nothing that will make you sigh in awe (go to O for that) nor make you jump in anticipation (KA will have you doing so), it was still a nice show to see. Definitely wouldn't go again, as there's no point, however it's worth seeing once.
The show was spectacular! I invited my friend Atty. Calderon and her family, specially her niece who’s a teenage kid and they loved it! Surprisingly, it was their second time to watch but didn’t like it on their first experience due to vagueness of the story and now they finally understand the story which connotes it was written in magical way with the heart for the audience to know the meaning behind it and also most importantly we appreciate all their hard work of the staff and the people behind it. Thank you! Magnificent work! You will leave the show with an awe and magical love!

It was amazing, great staging, history and performance
The show is absolutely underwhelming. Not even close to what you are led to expect from the advertising. The poor storyline, the bad voice acting, the poorly executed props. Very disappointed.
Awakening experience was entertaining and I would recommend seeing it one time. It followed a story line that was not too complicated for everyone to follow, while bringing in lively characters and colorful costumes. The mechanics and high-tech maneuvers were outstanding and seeing the different large puppet characters was awe-inspiring. Be sure to look up during the performances and also watch the extended 'tubes'. Although it is a theatre in the round, the section we sat in was the best, as most of the performers and action seemed to face us, seats: Sec B, Row E, Seat 3 - 4.
The show was not thrilling or easy to follow as a story. Vague plot but it is hard to imagine this was one of the most expensive shows produced. Would not recommend. There was nothing that was a Wow factor unlike the Cirque shows in Vegas which are a far better value for the money.
Amazing choreography and sound. The story line is explained early so the show is easy to follow. I would highly recommend this show. Fun, exhilarating and uplifting.
